The concern
- There are currently 390,000 children in the US foster care system
- In 2025, from January-March, there were 1571 children who experienced sustained abuse or neglect in Colorado
the Outlook
- Once placed in foster care only 17% of youth aged 11-18 will be adopted
- Only 50% of these youth will graduate from high school
- By age 18, 1/3 of foster youth will be homeless
Our answer
- Harbor House believes that all youth deserve safe housing as well as compassionate and consistent care.
- We are here to provide comprehensive services 365 days a year to homeless and foster youth
